कविता 1.

दु:ख ना आनंदही अन अंत ना आरंभ ही,
नाव आहे चाललेली कालही अन आजही।

मी तसा प्रत्यक्ष नाही, ना विदेशी मी जसा,
मी नव्हे की बिंब माझें, मी न माझा आरसा।

एकला मी नाहि जैसा, नाहि नाहि मी दुणा,
मी नव्हें स्वामीहि माझा, मी न माझा पाहुणा।

प्रश्न की उद्गार नाही, अधिक नाही वा उणा,
जीवनाला ऐल नाही, पैल, तैसा मध्य ना।

याद नाही, साद नाही, ना सखी वा सोबती,
नाद आहे या घड्याला अन घड्याच्या भोवती।

सांध्यछाया आणि काया जोडुनी यांचा दुवा
नाव आहे चाललेली, दूरची हाले हवा।

English Translation

Neither sorrow nor joy, no beginning, no end
The boat moves, yesterday, and today too.

I am not here, before you, nor in a foreign land
I am not the mirror, nor the reflection in it.

I am not alone, nor with someone,
I am not my host, nor my guest.

Neither a question, nor a statement, neither more nor less,
life has no beginning, no end, no center either.

No memory, no call from anyone, no friend, no companion
Just music, inside the pitcher, and around it.

Shadow at evening as an extension of the body is like a blessing
The boat moves, the wind takes it away, far away.

हिंदी अनुवाद

दु:ख न आनंद है, अंत न आरम्भ है
नाव है सफ़र में, कल भी थी, आज भी है

न मैं साक्षात हूँ, और न ही परदेस में
मैं नहीं हूँ बिम्ब अपना, और न दर्पण हूँ मैं

मैं अकेला हूँ नहीं, न कोई मेरे संग है,
मैं नहीं हूँ स्वामी अपना, और न अपना मेहमाँ

प्रश्न या उद्गार न ही, न अधिक न कम,
आदि न अनंत है, न मध्य है जीवन का

न स्मृति, न आह्वान, न सखि न संगी कोई,
नाद ही है कलश में, भीतर वही, बाहर वही

सांध्य छाया और बदन ये हुआ एकाकार सा
नाव है सफ़र में, पवन चलाता दूर है

कसे कसे हसायाचे
हसायाचे आहे मला
हासतच वेड्या जीवा
थोपटीत थोपटीत
फुंकायाचा आहे दिवा
कसे कसे हसायाचे
कुठे? कुठे आणि केव्हा?
कसे आणि कुणापास?
इथे भोळया कळयांनाही
आसवांचा येतो वास

English Translation

How to laugh?
I want to laugh
Live with a crazy laugh
With a pat
The lamp is burning out
How to laugh?
Where and when?
How, and with whom?
(When) Innocent buds here
Are covered with tears

कैसे हँसूँ?
हँसने का मन है
दीवाने सी मस्त हँसी
थपकी देते-देते
दीपक फुँकता जा रहा है
हँसूँ कैसे?
कहाँ और कब?
कैसे और किसके साथ?
मासूम कलियाँ भी
आँसुओं में भीगी हैं।
