Alone

Rejected, ignored, yet fated to be me,
something has stirred in the firmament
of the fragments of the subconscious.

It's the same beach that spreads its arms –
the miraculous sandy hugs.

It's the same sky towards which multitude of eyes
turn to –
the hopeful voice of God.

It’s the same greenness that the meditators claim
as their homes –
the incomparable poise.

Everything’s the same
yet my body, heart and soul sing the song
of a better loner –
the perfect freedom.

Isn’t artistic life a reflection
of true detachment?
So, why should I bother
who walks with me?
I’m no follower.
I’ll explore the mysticism of Creativity
within endless blissful Solitude.

Laugh it off

When the heart has been broken to its depth,
when relationships have just been shallow shadows
of the years,
when the void has been transformed into poise,
the tear-machinery, the sigh-mechanism
all stop functioning for good.

Life takes on its own course,
under the sun the soul grins,
amidst the rain there’s a smile,
thunder is just illusory ego.

Every dark cloud is now gone,
life again feels good

So what’s next?
Over a drink,
let’s laugh it off.

  1. These are words that mark a certain sense of detachment but also an introspection inscribed in the experience. The author seems to want to mark a break with certain stages but which seem to be very present and which remind her of the need to constantly look beyond the hurtful breaks.
