जन्म: 4 अगस्त, 1919 - डभरो, तालुक-कंडियारो, ज़िला-नवाबशाह (सिन्ध)।

शिक्षा: बी. ए, एल.एल. बी, शहाणी कॉलेज , कराची से (1943)

पेशे से वकील रहे, मीरपुर खास में, 1947-1950 दिल्ली में टाइम्स-दिल्ली में सह-संपादक रहे। 1950-1953, पटना और कानपुर में एक कंपनी में ब्रांच मैनेजर रहे। मंजरी कोल्हण उनकी सर्वश्रेष्ठ कहानी मानी जाती है।
