Apara Sharma

Apara Sharma
Apara Sharma (aka Aparajita Sharma) is a New York–based, multi-talented graphic designer and illustrator with a passion for storytelling that bridges the visual and the written word. She earned her master's degree from Maryland Institute College of Art and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

With a background in both fine arts and communication, she brings a unique perspective to her work. Her experience ranges from creating engaging digital content for multi-channel campaigns to spearheading the design and illustration for games and puzzles. This diverse background showcases her ability to not only create beautiful imagery but also to think conceptually, developing and executing a full creative vision from start to finish. Apara's work is characterized by thoughtful use of color and typography, making her a compelling artist for any literary project.

She is the 2013-2014 Diversity Expression Contest Winner and a 2014 Pittsburgh Region Scholastic Art Award winner. She has created cover art of a few books including Paco's Atlas by John Thieme, published by Setu. She won a contest to design the Seasons Greeting card for Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA.

Cynthia Sharp
Cynthia Sharp is the author of Ordinary Light, a first-prize winner in the SCWES Book Awards as well as in the International Book Impact Awards in the Poetry and Sustainability categories, Rainforest in Russet and The Light Bearers in the Sand Dollar Graviton. Her poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction can be found in many literary journals including CV2, Toasted Cheese, untethered and The Pitkin Review, while her dramatic work has been performed throughout North America. She was a long-time member and independent film producer at Video In Studios in Vancouver where she taught screenwriting, storyboarding and editing and assisted with numerous independent productions. She holds an MFA in creative writing and an Honors BA in literature.

Dr. Ritu Kamra Kumar, Retd. Officiating Principal and Associate Professor of English at MLN College, Yamuna Nagar, is an acclaimed academician, poet, and writer. With over 400 contributions to leading national newspapers and magazines, she has published 70+ research papers in reputed national and international journals and edited books. A noted resource person and speaker, she has led workshops and panel discussions nationwide, including at the Delhi Book Fair 2024. Honored by the District Administration and featured as an Empowered Woman by The Hindustan Times, she is a recipient of the Indian Woman Achiever Award and authored eight acclaimed books.

Winner of the “Hilde Slinger” cup for poetry in 2009 and again in 2013, winner of the “Fay Goldie” cup for General Success in the World of Publishing in 2011. These awards were presented by the South African Writers” Circle.

In 2008, Nine of my poems were published in “Signatures” an anthology of Women's poetry. I represented "Live Poets' Society in "Poetry Africa" in 2008. In 2006, "A Scorpion Sings" first anthology published. Other anthologies published between 2006 and 2015 are "Count Catula of Shadoland & Friends", " A Peace of Me" and "A Scorpion Sings Again."

David Genotiva, Merlie Alunan, and Victor Sugbo were some of the distinguished panelists of this writing workshop held from the 5th to the 7th of November 2008. His Binisaya poems “To View the World,” “Those who were Left in Cancabatoc,” and other verses won the 1st Chito Ro├▒o Literary Awards.

Dr. Baijnath Gupta is Associate Professor and Head, Department of English, DSN Postgraduate College, Unnao (Affiliated to CSJM University, Kanpur). He has edited an Anthology of Poems and has contributed thirty one research papers/articles to various National and International journals and edited books. Some of his poems have found spaces in such prestigious journals as Setu Bilingual Journal (published from Pittsburgh, USA), Creative Saplings and The Wise Owl. Malashri Lal, writer and academic, with twenty four books, retired as Professor, English Department, University of Delhi. Publications include Tagore and the Feminine, and The Law of the Threshold: Women Writers in Indian English. Co-edited with Namita Gokhale is the ‘goddess trilogy’, and also Betrayed by Hope: A Play on the Life of Michael Madhusudan Dutt which received the Kalinga Fiction Award. Lal’s poems Mandalas of Time has recently been translated into Hindi as Mandal Dhwani. She is currently Convener, English Advisory Board of the Sahitya Akademi. Honours include the prestigious ‘Maharani Gayatri Devi Award for Women’s Excellence’.

Staffy Bhateja (Pen Name: Steffi) is an award-winning poet, editor and exhibited painter hailing from the City Beautiful-Chandigarh. She is the Chapter Head of Chandigarh of The Asian Literary Society. As a writer, she has taken part in numerous anthologies under various publishing houses and has solely edited a book titled “Catharsis” under The Impish Lass Publishing House. Her poem on the Taj Mahal was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in the Asian Literary Society's Annual Wordsmith Awards Contest 2023 (Poetry Segment) and her poetry piece titled 'It Is Poetry!' bagged the second position in the same contest in 2024.

Radha Chakravarty is a poet, critic and translator. Her latest books include Subliminal: Poems, Mahasweta Devi: Writer, Activist, Visionary and Kazi Nazrul Islam: Selected Essays. She has over 20 books to her credit, including translations of major Bengali writers such as Rabindranath Tagore, Bankimchandra Chatterjee, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Mahasweta Devi, and critical studies of Tagore, women’s writing and gender issues. She has edited several anthologies of South Asian writing, and co-edited the The Essential Tagore, nominated Book of the Year 2011. She was Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi


Sri N Srivatsa

Sri N Srivatsa
Chennai-born Sri N Srivatsa is a retired banker living in Noida. Over the years, his poetry and translations mostly from Tamil to English and vice versa plus a handful to and from Hindi, have been featured on several journals and platforms. Eleven volumes of Tamil poems of eleven different poets that he translated to English and one volume of English poems translated by him into Tamil of yet another poet have been published so far. A collection of his English translations titled "Modern Tamil Poetry: A Miniature Canvas - Volume I with a poem each of 153 poets has just been released.

Squadron Leader (Dr) Toolika Rani is an ex-Indian Air Force Officer, Mountaineer (Everest Climber), International Motivational Speaker (TEDx), Author, Poet, Assistant Professor, and was the G-20 Brand Ambassador of Higher Education Department, U.P. Government (2023). She has published seven books, out of which two are collections of her English poems, titled, The Song of the Sky and A Wild Flower, two are collections of her Hindi poems titled, Dayron ke Baahar and Hasratein. She has edited an International Anthology of Poems on Himalaya, titled, The Mountain was Abuzz which was displayed at Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, 2024. Her book Beyond That Wall: Redemption on Everest fetched her Young Writer Award and Sahitya Shree Award. Sherpas of Solukhumbu: History and Evolution is based on her Ph.D. thesis on the Sherpas of Nepal.
