Farmer And Her Land

Md. Hanif

- Md. Hanif

Before a few months ago
It was full of greens and shadow
Like a garden of sweet rose
Dancing with morning pose
And standing amongst the West
As an infant on mother's breast
Make the world happiest
Oh land! Sweet land
Make me immortal with thy hand
And be happy among the men
Beneath the sky, above the rain
Here to sit is pleasant for rare
Where swans swim with smiled care
And the birds sing with theirs dear
Like ripples sound on cloudy pair
Aye! How lovely thy so face
Not in dress, but newly fresh
As daffodils with moon's grace
Full of hopes, half of race
Be me thy, as thou nature
Here not to live with creature
And let me live as farmer in her land
That makes sublime on the sand
And be me high as it up
To fly with thee in life enough.
