| Manab Manik |
Manab was born February 1984 the son of Jiten and Subhadra Manik, he grew up in a lower middle class peasant family, surrounded by poverty. He managed to attend Midnapore College and then Vidyasagar University where he read English Literature. He now teaches English at a school in the Eastern part of India near Kolkata (Calcutta) where he also writes poetry. His poetry is mainly concerned with the conditions and lives of those that are engaged in hard often thankless, yet essential work.
