Edit

The first issue of the year 2018 is out now---an ongoing and synergic venture between the editorial board and writers and artists from across the world, month after each month, done diligently from twin locations of Pittsburgh, USA and suburban Mumbai, India.
Last few months, due to this successful partnership of editors and creatives, Setu could continue to get an ever-expanding reader- base of top quality. As on January 31, the e-zine has registered an overwhelming 278,501 page views!
And still counting.
A great leap of faith for us!
Beginning with humble beginnings and reaching such significant milestones in a literary space, already overloaded, is indeed, a big achievement for all the stakeholders of the ecosystem, under constant threat from the mass.
Our thanks go out to you folks as well---the real patrons that elect to choose this journal in your busy timetable and rushed life, meeting tight deadlines and figures and negotiating snarls in dying cities, road rage, fast burn-out and despite all these, still able to maintain and retain some semblance of sanity and inner and outer poise in the ensuing citified madness and chaos around---for reading and supporting us, in last 18 months or so.
Such a loyalty is remarkable in a culture of instant recall and amnesia.
The basic aim of Setu has always been to offer fresh and critical perspectives and diversity of opinions, styles and forms, as part of a continual aesthetic and philosophical engagement with the community of readers, writers, critics and editors.
Through a careful selection of writings from varied geographies and intellectual positions, we wish to challenge the status quo. And destabilize the dulling effect of market economy over arts.
Many artists and writers, frequently featured here, do that only and provide a glimpse of hope in an age of conformism, complacency and de-radicalization---in brief, an attempt at interrogation of the Age Of Incorporated!

We hope to continue the questioning of the smugness in coming months, as an extension of our hallowed edit policy.
You are welcome to write in for us.
Your feedback is important.

Meanwhile, please enjoy the current issue.

  3. In the interest of "The basic aim of Setu has always been to offer fresh and critical perspectives and diversity of opinions, styles and forms, as part of a continual aesthetic and philosophical engagement with the community of readers, writers, critics and editors." I submit the following for serious consideration.
