SYMPATHY
My trousers are outdated.
"Baggy it is", They say.
'Scare-crow' is the epithet
My shirt fits.
My sandals are rough
As they lose the glamour.
They giggle at my back
For my attire,
And sympathize in front
For my lame leg.

Just a continuum of the culture which has rich embroidery in the front of kurtas, and plain fabric at the back. One learns to look only at the facade! And we certainly are not comfortable with disabilities, so it is wonderful and brave to have it presented in a poem
