Milan Mondal (Towards Visibility)

Milan Mondal

My trousers are outdated.
"Baggy it is", They say.
'Scare-crow' is the epithet
My shirt fits.
My sandals are rough
As they lose the glamour.

They giggle at my back
For my attire,
And sympathize in front
For my lame leg.

Being physically challenged by birth, Mr. Milan Mondal relentlessly faces many ups and downs in day-to-day life. Caring a fig for his physical deformities, Mr. Mondal has come up to the level of Assistant Professor of English with the celestial support of his literally illiterate parents, kind teachers and a few friends. Milan Mondal has already been published among literary stalwarts by a number of editors/publishers having worldwide recognition. Milan may be reached at

  1. Just a continuum of the culture which has rich embroidery in the front of kurtas, and plain fabric at the back. One learns to look only at the facade! And we certainly are not comfortable with disabilities, so it is wonderful and brave to have it presented in a poem
