Dictionaries
are repositories of words with their meanings,
Interpretations
of idioms, and examples of usage.
Cater
they to pronunciation, stresses, and numbers singular and plural.
They,
at least some of them, are meaningfully pictorial as well,
Informing
the readers of etymology as also synonyms and antonyms.
Only
some of the lexicons that are voluminous can give full details, and
Not
the ones that are abridged to serve the needs of various levels of readers.
Anyway,
let’s all try to have as many dictionaries as possible since we need to
Refer
to them every day if we are readers keen focusing on knowledge and wisdom.
You’ll
all agree that dictionary is a must, also to overcome the ever-teasing
preposition nuisance.
HATCHES, CATCHES, MATCHES, AND DESPATCHES
Hatched
are not only eggs but also plots
as well as humans.
Catches
are not only of balls but also of criminals
as well as jobs.
Matches
are not only of games but also of fire igniters
as well as brides and grooms.
Despatches
are not only of postal or couriered articles but also
of doing things quickly as well as deaths.
FAIENCE
Fairytale-like
is its history rooted in Magadha 108
And
I am its greatest fan because it’s superfine.
In
any one’s home or at any caf├й I didn’t ever find it.
Earthenware
it is, with a classic colourful design.
Near
it go, draw out the contents, and take a sip.
Cane
juice like it tastes with coolth of healthy ice.
Ears
lend yours, it’s but the ace faience, now on in my eager hands.
DOCTORS
Day
or night, call on them, and they never say no.
On
you they attend immediately checking your pulse and heart rate.
Condition
of you whatever is, they test you and do their best.
Therapy
or medication or surgery or referral to the specialist concerned.
Outpatient
or operation or sending the ambulance or visiting you at your home
Ready
they are to serve you either alone or with their team.
So
sacrosanct as their duty they take up your case. No wonder they are looked upon
as gods.
NB: There are, of course,
exceptions as everywhere. Certainly, there are doctors, who despite taking the
Hippocratic Oath, indulge in hypocrisy.
LAWYER
Lawyer
is a liar who with his lies, concoctions and fabrications
Adeptly
pushes the other party into a thorny lair
With
no ventilation. He suffocates the other party whether
You
like it or not and only to win his case by hook or crook.
Everyone
knows that since the lawyer is so permitted by law,
Raised
can’t be any objection against his mendacious tactics!
