Am I too big for my shoes?

I have outgrown the shoes
Or am I too big for my shoes?

Revelling in my words
Scribbling on a blank page
Wiping my own tears
Healing the deepest bruises
Am I too big for my shoes?

Winds whisper in my ears
Raindrops tickle my skin
Tears burn my cheeks
Thoughts wrestle with my peace
Am I too big for my shoes?

Words echo and retreat
Quill refuses to pause
Ink bears my outpourings
Metaphors permeate the papyrus
Am I too big for my shoes?

Retrospective in my reverie
Introspective in my pain
Reflective on my errors
Evocative in my expression
Am I too big for my shoes?
