MIND SCREENS

They are the two tiny bulbs
connected to the deep nest of her heart
pulsating with each breath,
they glow in splendour like festival lamps

They can send peace and benediction,
Steer like a lighthouse to your direction,
You can hear a gentle laughter from them,
You can see a singing spring in them,
like the smiling green earth
they sprout joy on others’ lips…
They hold a music of ecstasy
heard only by those tuned in...
Her dreams soar high from them
like liberated birds from the cage

They dump cloud bursts sometimes
made of memories and moments,
stored in personal space entirely her own.
They speak poetry woven with warmth
in words of hushed magic

They are her mind screens
flashing her aspirations and yearnings…
The beautiful secrets in a woman’s eyes
You can perceive only when
you open the sealed eyelids of your mind.
