TUHIN SANYAL is an Assistant Professor in English at Tufanganj College, Cooch
Behar in West Bengal. Apart from accolades for the various scholarly articles and
academic papers he has published, he has also received the prestigious B.T. Memorial
Award from Berhampore University, Odisha, in 2012, for the paper titled 'Picassonian
Cubism in the Eliotian Wasteland'. He has penned four books of poems in English,
namely, 'White, Blue and Other Poems' (2004) archived in the National Library,
'Phoenix on a Female Body and Other Poems' (2009), both published by Writers
Workshop, Calcutta, 'The Nectar-Nook': an English rendering of Harivanshrai
Bachchan’s 'Madhushala' (2016), and 'A Mirror More Truthful' (2017), both published
by Chitrangi, Kolkata. He is also a reviewer of poetry and his review titled ‘The
Earthen Flute — A Flux of Contraries’ has been published by Setu earlier, in 2017.
