She Waits
A lonely walk beating the grass
rushing with panting breath
among the silence and scenic charm
a pang of guilt touches the heart
the hasty steps and a hazy past
so used to the figure walking silently
her wide eyes look beyond
the landscape shudders at the desperate gaze
held by those yearning maze
She averts her gaze and beckons noon
The lake turns with a slender waste
To escape her depth from eyes so keen
The lone seat waits in calm
to be her soul’s soothing balm
Every day a prayer lurks
on those shivering lips
a shudder that escapes with a sigh
the landscape leans to see the closed eyes
Out of nowhere the dust is in sight
a round ball roll on ground from a height
A rosy boy races to the ground
the joy of play dances in his blue eyes
He runs past the lone seat
with showers of love the women treats
gurgle of love and laughter entwine
the two twin in this game
Kicking the ball and chasing again
a powerful kick sends it far
the blue eyed boy chuckles
and rushes behind
but the ball bounces fast and lunges in the lake
as if its destination was decided afar
standing stuck the boy beholds
once so near now beyond chase
he shrieks and cries for a thing held so dear
standing numb she leans to assuage his grief
her hands move so sudden
as if shaken from a dear dream
she looks but nothing is found
the small hands and nimble feet
were now a distant dream
resting her head, searching miles
She waits, waits waits a while
