Sandeep David Rai is a journalist and posted as special correspondent with one of the biggest National dailies of the country and heads one of the western UP bureaus comprising ten districts of the largest state of India, Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Rai has a vast experience of covering news on politics, crime, civic issues, environment, infrastructure, agriculture, health, etc. Districts covered include Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Bulandshahr and Bijnor among others. He extensively covered 2014 general elections & UP polls (2017) and broke several stories from the region in the past couple of years. Besides writing and photography, Mr. Rai has deep interest in history and has even made a documentary on the oldest church built by the British in the erstwhile norther provinces of India. He lives in the historical town of Meerut which is 70 kms from India's capital New Delhi.
