The Vision and Mission:
“I am happy to be the chief organizer of the first Canadian South Asian Literary Festival which is happening in Century Gardens Recreation Centre, Brampton, Ontario on August 26 & 27, 2023. This is the first of its kind to present South Asian writers, scholars, and intellectuals’ role in shaping Canada’s collective heritage. Almost 4 million Canadian South Asians in Canada’s 38 million population are contributing humongous wealth in our society. Canadian South Asian writers, scholars, artists, and intellectuals are also creating an overwhelming wisdom and depth in our society. Also, I would like to get it established and recognized that our Greater Bharat, what we call today South Asia, has created intellectual and business entrepreneurial impact on Canada. To me, South Asia is the region shaped by Bharati civilization. So our Canadian South Asian Literary Festival should be a manifesto of Bharati Civilization as well as Canadian values are part of our heritage now.”
