Special Edition: Kushal Poddar,

From The Jetty To Perpetuity

The stork turns as if
to talk with the gull hopping behind
about something it
should recall, but cannot, neither at this
juncture nor ever.

The pylons, rogue, broken free
from the jetty, bears the weight of the light
knee deep in the water.

Since the authority
has posted the 'Danger' warning near
the head of the elevation
the local buddies are frequent here.

Not now. Now no human
crowds the scene. The structure returns
to nature one rotten bit at a time,
and now, 'now' ceases to measure time.
