
In recognition of his contributions to diaspora literature, Sharma was honored with the first Mahatma Gandhi Institute Award for Creative Writing in Diaspora Hindi Literature. More recently, he received the National Nirmal Verma Award, one of India’s highest literary honors for Indian writers abroad, celebrating his enduring impact on Hindi literature and cultural preservation.

Anurag Sharma is the founder, publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Setu Bilingual Journal of Art and Literature. He started his career as a banker. Banking, IT and Management are his areas of professional expertise. He is a project manager by profession, and a hybrid manager by qualification.
