Poetry: Pulkita Anand

Krishna

when problems surround me
when I lose all hope
when no one is there

it’s you Krishna, i see

when danger surround me
when I can’t find way
when no one helps me

it’s you Krishna, i pray

when pain afflicts me
when i fester
when no one touches me

it’s you Krishna, i touch

when darkness engulfs me
when I can’t see light
when no one lit my place

it’s you Krishna, i long
***

Oh! Krishna

Oh! Krishna
my friend
my consoler
my accomplice
my guide
my mentor

direct me to righteous path
drift me from perverted path

teach me the goal of my life
teach me how to treat others

comfort my soul
console my pride
convince my ego

i chat your name day and night
come Krishna, Krishna, O Krishna
