The music from my past
The music from my past
haunts me, round the
clock,
every second of every
minute.
From the rise of dawn,
To the approaching morn.
It Knocks constantly at
my doors,
Knock knock, knock
knock…
while I try to keep up
with my chores.
It’s the music of
freedom,
it sounds like
waterfalls,
it feels like the touch
of a breeze
Coming from the
seashores.
The splash of waves on
the rocks and
The pitter-patter of the
raindrops…
It is a magical hymn, I
long for,
At the end of every day.
After cooking, cleaning
and Dusting,
If I have any more life
remaining,
I can cater to the hymn,
Just before I surrender
again
and dance to my other’s
tunes.
If not, then the hymn
Will have to wait again,
And again, till I
finally
Listen to it, intently
and reclaim my life
eventually.
And dance to the music
of my past
Once again, uninhibited,
uncontrolled
just like the liberated
spirit
Wonderful..
