Reflections
She is blank. Stares into nothingness.
Everything appears wistfully gloomy.
She’s long been feeling disconnected,
The melancholy moment and the murky reflections,
Make her wish to run away somewhere.
But where? She has no place to go.
“Global recession,” her employer had said,
While firing her with an emotionless face.
She had entered the train, ticketless.
Maybe, she would be sent to the prison
Where she’ll get food to eat, bed to sleep,
And a few feet of scarce space.
She solemnly stares
Into the beclouded reflections once again-
A shining ray of the sun enters, flooding with light.
The train has crossed the long tunnel,
And rather than crawling, is roaring with might.
Was she also in the dark tunnel of her thoughts?
The employer has taken away her job, not her talents.
She may be pitifully penniless,
But there can always be a new bright beginning!
She walks out of the coach, throws her cap,
And dances out of the train station with a satisfying smile.
