Hemant Gahlot is teaching English for the last thirty five years in various government colleges in MP, India. Presently he is working as Professor and Head, Department of English, at Govt Madhav Science College, Ujjain,MP, India. He prefers translation of literary works. He has translated poetry by renowned Hindi poet Harish Pathak which was published in Indian Literature. Two Hindi novels by Shankar Puntambekar, prominent Hindi satirist and novelist have been translated out of which one entitled ‘Where Gods Die’ is published by Authorspress. He published a book on the short stores of William Faulkner and edited a collection of articles entitled ‘Sin, Suffering and Salvation in Literature’ by Radha Publications, New Delhi. Recently a collection of 66 laghukathas by Madhudeep are translated by him and published by Disha Publication, New Delhi. Supervising research scholars working on English and American authors for the last twenty years.
