Mitali Chakravarty
Mitali Chakravarty (India) is a writer and the founding editor of Borderlessjournal.com. She has worked as a journalist in The Times of India (1988-1991) and as the editor in Kitaab.org (April 2019-April 2020). She has been published widely in anthologies, to name a few in recent years: In Reverie (poetry, 2016); That Bird called Happiness (translation of ‘Full Circle’ by Nabendu Ghosh from Bengali to Hindi, 2018); full length translations like Penumbra (translation of a verse novel by Dr Uma Trilok from Hindi to English, 2019); in newspapers (Daily Star, Bangladesh; The Times of India, The Statesman and more) and on multiple online forums and hardcopy journals. Her poetry has been translated to German. She has written a book of essays on China, where she spent eight years of her life called In the Land of Dragons (2014).
