ENCHANTING POETRY: Neelam Saxena

Neelam Saxena Chandra
Sometimes, poetry just flows as tears
That gushes when you’re so happy
That you’ve laughed and laughed
To your heart’s content!

Sometimes, poetry wants to rise
High and high like the lofty mountains-
Though it may get frozen with the ice
That envelops it.

Sometimes, poetry oozes out as blood
From the wounds that suddenly appear
On the unblemished skin
And leaves you numb.

Sometimes, poetry twinkles from far.,
Has its own glow that’s visible
From zillions of light years,
Keeping you captivated and charmed.

Sometimes, poetry streams like a noiseless river
Full of repose and calm,
Happy to be in its own skin,
With an enlightened aura!

It’s not important how the poetry springs,
A poetry is considered well-written
If it enters the silent chambers of the reader’s heart
With a thud whose sound keeps on echoing
For days and months and years!
And makes their heart beat like
Water falling from a majestic mountain
Whose noise reverberates everywhere that you go!
