G. Akila juggles her muse with work, home and a seven-year-old daughter. She dabbles in free verse and the Japanese genre of poetry in English language consisting of haiku, tanka and haibun; she has read and conducted workshops at the Writers Carnival Hyderabad organized by Nivasini Publishers where she wears the cap of being their chief blogger editor and member of their editorial team. She is also a member of the Twin City Poetry Club, Hyderabad. Recently she was invited at the Goa Arts and Literature Festival 2016 to read poetry.
A featured poet at the Wordweavers Contest 2014 and 2015, her works have been published in anthologies and online journals. Currently she is deciphering contours of a dream in her first manuscript of poetry.
