Best Wishes for 2017 from Setu

Anurag Sharma
Several months ago, when Dr. Sunil Sharma and I discussed the idea of a global bilingual magazine in Hindi and English, I had a few doubts. With your love and support we were able to make Setu a reality. The seventh issue of Setu is the last one of 2016.

The month of December is the month which has the longest night of the year. The longest night and the shortest day are the signs of hope to tell us that even the darkest phases of our lives have to end. The shortest day is the symbol of hope, to remind us that the days will be longer from this point onward, and thus, there will be light.

2016 was an exciting year. Lot of things happened. But ultimately, we need to learn some lessons from the bad and use the good to make things better for all of us.

2017 is going to be a brand new year with fresh hopes. Let there be light in your life as described in following Sanskrit saying. We should move away from ignorance towards knowledge:
рдЕрд╕рддो рдоा рд╕рдж्рдЧрдордп, рддрдорд╕ो рдоा рдЬ्рдпोрддिрд░्рдЧрдордп, рдоृрдд्рдпोрд░्рдоा рдЕрдоृрддं рдЧрдордп
Asato ma sadgamaya, Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya, Mrtyorma amrtam gamaya
(Brhadaranyaka Upanishad — I.III.28)
Lead, me from untruth to truth
Lead, me from darkness to light
Lead, me from death to immortality

Wish you all a very happy new year!

Warm Regards,
