Padmaja
Iyengar-Paddy,
having explored the worlds of banking and urban governance in senior positions,
is currently the Hon. Literary Advisor of The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and
Amaravati. She is also on the Advisory Panel of the International Society for
Intercultural Studies And Research (ISISAR), Kolkata.
Her
maiden poetry collection ‘P-En-Chants’ has been recognized as a Unique Record
of Excellence by the India Book of Records for its never-before-attempted movie
reviews and management topics presented in rhyming poetry.
She
has compiled and edited 6 international multilingual poetry anthologies, three
of which – Amaravati Poetic Prism 2016, 2017 and 2018, have been recognized by
the prestigious Limca Book of Records. The latest 2019 edition has 1303 poems
in 125 languages by over 761 poets from 86 countries, again in Limca Record
contention! The 6 international
multilingual poetry anthologies also include a multilingual poetry anthology of
women poets titled ‘WWW-Women, Wit & Wisdom’.
Paddy’s
English and Hindi poems, articles and short-stories, some of them prize
winners, regularly appear in various national and international e-zines,
leading newspapers and poetry anthologies. She is also regularly invited to
national and international literary events to present her poetry.
Paddy
is a recipient of several awards and prizes notably: the SETU-2018 Award for
Excellence (Special Mention-Individual), the title of “Distinguished Literary
Personality”-2018 from Vishwabharati
Research Centre / Sahitya Anand, India, ‘Honored Poet of India Award-2019 from
Lasosyasyon Lar San Frontyr (LLSF) - an International Literary Society
recognized by the Government of the Republic of Seychelles, ’‘Ambassador De
Literature’ Medal-2019 from Motivational Strips, Premio Mundial A La Excelencia Literaria 2019-20 Honour from
the (Municipalidad Provincial De Urubamda,Government of Peru, Peru Government
literary head & Union Hispanomundial De Escritores (UHE), Motivational Strips, the Writers Union (Kazakhstan), and a Certificate of
Appreciation-2020 from ISISAR, Kolkata, for her contributions and service to
literature. She is also an official Member of the World Nation Writers’ Union
in Kazakhstan
