Light
white dresses
quite an ordinary room
actually nothing is happening.
a young woman sitting by the window
she holds a folded book on her lap.
she turns around or the one who watches her
moves. her eyes are brown
but a little bit swollen like she was crying.
nothing is happening yet
except that she rises holding the book
in her hand moving the curtain with the other hand.
it’s day outside and it's light.
she sighed and tightened the book on her chest.
there is no title on the covers
warm colors of the eyes of the woman
but it must be poetry.
because what else would cause the tears
in the beautiful eyes of the young woman
in light white dresses?
That
I know where I left the book
I know how to say a dog in Greek
I know who lives in that house
I know what she told me
I know how I felt
I cannot articulate that
