Damaged Not Destroyed / Learn to Embrace
I learned to soar high from birds in the sky,
To flutter with grace as the butterfly’s fly.
I hummed the tunes of the bees in the golden light,
To chirp at dawn a song of delight.
From oceans depth, I grasped the cosmic soul,
The silent strength that made them infinite and whole.
From the sun I learnt to spread light and shine,
To keep the darkness aside with light divine.
The rivers flowed and whispered low,
Keep moving ahead, never fear the flow.
The flowers taught me smiles never go vain,
Smile without fear through joy and pain.
Yet failed to truly see,
The deeper truths in nature’s humble plea.
To be patient, gentle, kind and bend,
To care, heal, nurture love, and to mend.
O human, learn from the steadfast trees,
When the roots are hurt the branches grieve.
The leaves and flowers fall and weep,
Their sorrow runs strong and deep.
Learn and embrace like Nature does,
Give selflessly to the world without a fuss.
Serve whole-heartedly it is still not annoyed,
Replenish Nature – it is damaged but not destroyed.
