Marjorie-Pezzoli

Give the Future a Chance

cityscape
a maze of streets
remember to follow the leaves

leave not a trace
wait for the moon
meanwhile look for dimes

*man*made*stars*
gather around this lamppost
DNA pinpoints spiral up

this beacon
becomes a landmark
a tether for exploration

first inhale crisp air
take in the blueness
the oneness of it all

gaze up, know—
home is in the corner of one’s eye
you can come back anytime
