Juljana Mehmeti (Albania-Italy)
Exclusive: European poetry: Curated by Agron SheleJuljana Mehmeti was born in the city of Durres, in Albania.
Since she was a child she became fond about literature and writing, especially poetry, a genre that in the following years will turn into a real life motive, a way to better express her ideas, her thoughts, her visions and metaphysics , her point of view according to her consciousness but also improving the awareness of the same suggestion that surrounds the human world. The first book “Soft – Poems” published in Italian language attracted the attention of publishers and Italian literary criticism, not only for its particular style, but also for new words, the language used, the philosophical message and the currents present in her poems that go from Hermetism to Surrealism. The second book comes from the field of translation entitled “Vramendje” – (Rimugino “) of the Italian author Alessandro Ferrucci Marcucci Pinoli, which will constitute the first experience in this field, but will also strengthen his long-standing conviction, to know and translate in his language, many popular Italian authors.. The collection of poems “Oltrepassare” is her new book, which presents itself with the new tendencies of Albanian literature, postmodernism and universal consciousness, from experimental currents to absurdity.
She currently lives and works in Ancona, Italy.
1- Unexplored areas
Fallen chasms to the ravines of soul
scary up to the darkness,
Swirl dimming the past nightmare
strangled furiously, like in wasteland.
Cold Ices surround the ocean
and poles freezing in coldness
reflection of the image of mute shadows
of the long-ago ego
shivering to the being of infancy.
Invisible hands are extended in the fog
equilibriums of universe superpose
refracted reflexes of a light which is invisible
to the darkened eclipses of the sun.
The drowsy retina of life
awakened from slamming of dusty wings
of the lone triumph phoenix
reborn in new ribbons of life
in the unexplored areas of the sky.
2- White wings
The dusk hands are extended
to the soul during the deep night
dressed with nightmare
covered with misery
undressed to the life
reflection of long awaiting
upraised
and hanging to the twilight frames.
The pale reflex slowly touches my shadows..
wrapped with arms of desires
of the white wings
the flight halted at dusk intersections
bitter feelings
questing for eruption
of different fragrances
with the taste of freedom.
Locked in a sky of dreams,
where the distant migration commences
broken chasms
to the peak of feeling
hidden to myself,
silent,
there where the rainbows are born.
I am the light,
with thousands grey particles,
I wake up the tomorrow
from the cold labyrinths
in dark alcoves.
3- Vision
Lingering…,
amid the hanging thoughts
Outstretched,
up to the farthest edges
Covered …
by a thread of impossibility,
of the reason,
which clenches teeth like pincers.
humble …
with the view to the waterfalls of the wasted tears…
to the dry oasis,
mirazh mirage …
of deserted soul
among the waves…,
with the hair drawn to the face
sad weeping willows
over the lakes of the empty soul,
scattering drowned desires
to your assorted scent…
You will remain a vision,
Star that shines in the skies
I am clasped with my nails
to your shine among the waves
and you …
to my sea,
to reach the azure.

Steps
Steps,
slow
steps,
Vague steps,
Flying
steps,
looking
for reassuring glances.
Eyes
full of emotion,
and
warm tender light.
Hands,
smiles,
games.
Tense
steps,
uncertain steps,
threatening
steps,
elegant
and diplomatic steps.
First
steps,
Last
steps,
firm
and incessant.
Step by
step,
small
steps,
big
steps
that
trace our path.
Steps …
Summer (Stay you here)
Stay
you here
savoring
love
immortals
frames
of
memory.
Breezes
in the morning
imbued
with hopes
between
barges of lives
broken
and united
by
agitating wire
in the
mysterious sea.
Stay
you here
between
bikinis and shreds
in
tsunamis that shake
throwing
the keys into the abyss.
Season
of love at first sight
and
carefree thoughts.
Summer
(Stay you here)
between
majestic sails
on
rusted sterns,
friendly
and enemy guides
under
an overcast sky
of
earthly stars.
"A" LETTER
Love,
Friendship, Soul
I’m
strugging
with
peaceful chords
and
then I’ll include moments
always
armed
and
definitely loving.
Ancient
art:
Love,
Friendship.
Drawing
soul,
Hearts
On… and on!
Gasping
for breath,
recruiting,
relying
on
instead
of losing your heart.
Oh my
soul!
Arduous
actions again,
you
venture
just
getting rough instants.
On… and
go on!
Embracing
one another.
Stars
warning,
standing
angels,
are
waiting for dawns
and
taste arts eager for them.
Others
assiduously sleeping
So I’m
opening arches
Let’s
go! .. Just let’s go!
I’m
adding boards
shaking
other Hearts.
